Right from his earlier days of his film career he has been a responsible citizen, answering the call of his conscience and donating on various occasions to help the needy. When cyclone hit Andhrapradesh , he donated huge amount as fund to  the then chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Late Marri Chenna Reddy

In 1988, when the cotton farmers of Andhra Pradesh got affected and committed suicide, he helped their families and provided financial relief to them. On the occasion of his films’ hundred days celebration, he donated relief to the families of deceased cotton farmers.  Few prakasam dist farmers got help.

Apart from his personal donations, he always motivated his fans to rush to the place of calamity to provide immediate relief. The force behind him always was the first to mobilize help in devastating situations. Inspired by his talk they left to Gujarat to personally provide relief to the earthquake victims.

Aided the heart transplant operation of Pakistani girl, Batool Hasan at Global Hospital, Hyderabad. The recovered rejoicing kid’s farewell is celebrated in the presence of Chiranjeevi and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Y.S. Rajsekhara Reddy.
